I graduated in 1992 from Grove City College (Grove City, PA) with a Bachelor of Science degree and Honors in Economics. In 2004, I graduated from University of Akron School of Law (Akron, OH) Summa Cum Laude.

Throughout my education, I received many academic honors including Associate Editor of Akron Law Review, 2003–2004; Associate Editor of Akron Law Review, 2002-2003; Board of Trustees Scholar, all semesters; Millennium Scholar; ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law; American Bankruptcy Institute Medal; American Bankruptcy Law Journal Student Prize; CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Excellent Achievement in the Study of Bankruptcy Law; CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Excellent Achievement in the Study of Commercial Paper, Sales, & Lease Transactions; CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Excellent Achievement in the Study of Constitutional Law; CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Excellent Achievement in the Study of Employment Law; Corporate Law Scholarship; Spring 2001and Dean’s List, all semesters.

In the community, I serve on the Board of Directors at Grove City Christian Academy in Grove City, PA (since 2004).  I have also served as chair of the bylaws committee for the United Way of Mercer County since 2008, and I provided the legal services necessary for the United Way of Mercer County to merge with the Northern Mercer County United Way in 2008.

The primary emphasis of my law practice is Estate Planning & Administration, Elder Law, Corporate Law, and Commercial Law.

Prior to becoming an associate of Ekker, Kuster, McConnell, & Epstein, LLP in 2004, I served as a law clerk. I successfully completed the CPA examination and worked as an accountant for more than ten years prior to becoming licensed to practice law, although never fulfilling the technical requirements to become licensed as a CPA.
