I bring the skills and experience garnered during 11 years of litigation practice in a large law firm to bear on the problems faced by the firm’s clients in Mercer County, PA and beyond. I am committed to working with clients to find cost effective resolutions to those problems, be it through litigation, mediation or settlement.
I received a J.D. in 1997, graduating cum laude from Boston University School of Law, where I served as an Articles Editor for the American Journal of Law and Medicine. I graduated magna cum laude in 1985 from Colby College (Waterville, Maine) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Biology, with distinction in both majors. I was elected to Phi Beta Kappa in 1985. I spent my junior year at the Universite de Cean in France. In the years between college and law school, I worked in the health care industry for a small health care plan in New Haven, Connecticut and for a large Boston teaching hospital.
My expertise is in the areas of general and complex commercial litigation, representing individuals, corporations, and government entities in claims involving contract disputes and personal and business torts. I have a broad range of substantive experience in areas including pharmaceutical products liability, employment law, mortgage banking, securities litigation, land use litigation, adversary proceedings in bankruptcy, and health care law.
I have handled all phases of litigation in federal and state courts, trying both jury and jury-waived cases, appearing before state and federal agencies, mediating cases, negotiating settlements, and preparing and arguing appeals.
