I was born and raised in Mercer County until I attended the Taft School in Watertown, Connecticut from 1967 - 1970. In 1974, I graduated from University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. I graduated from George Washington University Law School in 1977 with a Juris Doctoris. I served as a legislative aide in the Congress covering the Energy and communications subcommittees of the Interstate and Foreign Commerce Committee which at that time passed legislation deregulating the natural gas and telecommunications industries.

I returned to Mercer County in 1978 and have practiced law until the present, concentrating on civil litigation (personal injury and commercial), business and estate planning, and economic development issues.

I am very active in the community serving a diverse group of organizations. Professionally, I serve as: Solicitor of Shenango Township Zoning Board (since 1984), Solicitor of Prothonotary of Mercer County (since 1992), and Solicitor of Penn Northwest Development Corporation (since 1988). I also serve on the Board of Governors of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers (since 2000); as Chairman of Shenango Valley Industrial Development Authority (since 2009), and as a lecturer for Civil Litigation for Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and Pennsylvania Bar Institute. I am also President of Scientific Legal Services, a consulting firm which uses statistical data and formulas to predict the outcome of litigation.

As a volunteer, I have served as Chairman of United Way of Mercer County (since 2009); Board of Directors of Southwestern Division of Pennsylvania Economy League; and Past President and Director of Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Mercer County Branch of Economy League and President of Scientific Legal Services. In 2007, I was Shenango Valley Chamber Person of the Year. I am also a member of Sharon Rotary Club, Shenango Valley and Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce.

The primary emphasis of my practice is Civil Litigation (Commercial and Personal Injury). I also focus on Business Planning: Economic Development, Labor and Employment, Estate Planning and Administration. Over the past thirty years I have handled many complex commercial and accident cases; some of which resulted million dollar recoveries.

In our practice, we are committed to utilizing the 12 attorneys from Ekker, Kuster, McConnell & Epstein, LLP and our regional and national alliances with other professionals to offer the highest quality of service to our clients. Our goal is to solve problems in a cost efficient manner.

Prior to becoming a Partner in Ekker, Kuster, McConnell, & Epstein, LLP in 2001; I was a partner at Routman, Moore, Goldstone & Valentino from 1981 – 2000.
