Henry M. Ekker, Thomas W. Kuster and William G. McConnell all joined the firm of Cusick, Madden, Joyce and McKay as associates early in their careers.  They later became partners in Cusick, Madden, Joyce and McKay, which is a predecessor to the firm of Ekker, Kuster and McConnell and Ekker, Kuster, McConnell & Epstein, LLP.

Richard W. Epstein and Ronald P. McCall were partners in the law firm Routman, Moore, Goldstone and Valentino.  In 2001, Richard W. Epstein and Ronald P. McCall joined the partners of Ekker, Kuster and McConnell to form Ekker, Kuster, McConnell and Epstein, LLP.
